Under the headline “Investors are queuing up – but cities have to send them away”, the Recklingh\u00e4user Zeitung reported in an article on Monday, February 21, on the lack of industrial and commercial space in the Recklinghausen district and the importance of the gate.ruhr and newpark projects for the region. According to the report, there are significantly more interested parties for the planned newPark industrial estate in Datteln than there is space available on the site.<\/p>\n\n

In the article by Michael Wallk\u00f6tter, Manfred Gehrke, business promoter for the city of Marl, speaks of a “real shortage of space” and is particularly concerned about existing companies for which there are too few opportunities to expand. Against the backdrop of the limited opportunities for companies to settle here, he complains that the issue of jobs and training places for future generations is being neglected in public perception.<\/p>\n\n
