Growing industry: GreenTech is to play an important role in the newPark.<\/p><\/div>\n

The newPark opens up the opportunity to offer the growing GreenTech industry an address-forming centre with charisma beyond the region and to create highly qualified jobs in a particularly promising field. Green markets are currently on the upswing: the sector, which is dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, can boast above-average growth rates (8.8 % expected by 2025) and is already very important in Germany. By 2025, the share of GreenTech in the gross domestic product is expected to rise to 20 percent. In the renewable energy sector alone, more than 370,000 jobs have been created since 2004; in general, the “green jobs” sector employs around two million people nationwide, with a strong upward trend.<\/p>\n

The Ruhr region and the Emscher-Lippe region have already successfully positioned themselves in the green tech market with various projects. However, suitable industrial and commercial sites are already in short supply for further growth, so that the newPark with its clear profile will become a sought-after address for the growth industry.
